¿QUEN SOMOS?
O Instituto de Mediación Educativa de Ribeira foi fundado legalmente como unha entidade socioeducativa sen ánimo de lucro con data do 11 de novembro de 2011.
Os obxectivos prioritarios do IMER son:
- Promocionar a mediación como técnica de resolución de conflitos nos ámbitos educativos.
- Fomentar e divulgar a Cultura da Paz e os Dereitos Humanos
Para a consecución dos obxectivos, esta entidade deseña e leva a efecto unha variada programación onde teñen lugar, entre outras, un gran número de actividades como:
- a formación e difusión da resolución pacífica de conflitos a través da mediación no ámbito educativo;
- a formación para profesionais da educación en ensinar a mediar;
- a mediación, de forma gratuíta, naqueles centros educativos onde se lles require;
- a organización de xornadas, actos, seminarios,..a través dos que se promovan os Dereitos Humanos e a Cultura de Paz na sociedade;
- deseño e posta en marcha de accións e programas lonxitudinais que promovan activamente a igualdade entre as persoas e o respecto aos Dereitos Humanos;
- colaboracións con outras entidades que desenvolvan os mesmos obxectivos, etc.
¿QUE FACEMOS?
Historia/Antecedentes
No curso escolar 05-06 e, impulsado dende o Plan comunitario municipal, constituíuse unha comisión de educación para realizar traballo conxunto e coordinado entre os distintos centros de enso. Iniciamos un estudo sobre as relacións de convivencia nos centros educativos e os resultados deste estudo publicáronse a finais do curso 2006-07 no marco dunhas “Xornadas sobre prevención da violencia” organizadas polo Concello e a Comisión de Educación. De forma paralela implementáronse en todolos centros Obradoiros de Prevención da violencia, habilidades sociais e resolución de conflitos” baixo a denominación «Programa Marusía». Asemade e en colaboración coa Asociación Antidroga Renacer de Ribeira veñense impartiedo obradoiros de prevención de drogodependencias e educación afectivo-sexual.
Como continuidade ás necesidades detectadas nas accións sinaladas comenzamos a traballar no proxecto de mediación como unha ferramenta máis na resolución pacífica de conflitos para a mellora da convivencia e o clima escolar.
Nunha primeira fase comezamos o proceso de formación de mediadores (coa axuda de profesorado das Universidades de Cádiz, Valladolid e Madrid) a través da constitución dun grupo de traballo en colaboración co CEFORE.
No curso escolar 2009-2010 puxemos en marcha o Servizo de Mediación Educativa de Ribeira logo de realizar prácticas de mediación, elaborar materiais e de dar difusión do proxecto a toda a comunidade educative- De forma paralela ese ano concedeusenos un Proxecto Europeo Comenius Regio para o intercambio de experiencias en mediación e resolución de conflitos co concello de Vieste (Bari. Italia) que consideramos moi positivo xa que introducíu no noso proxecto una novaa perspectiva creando un espacio de cooperación internacional e de intercambio de experiencias non só no ámbito escolar senón tamén no comunitario.
No seguinte curso detectamos a necesidade de formación e de difusión para a prevención de violencias e a resolución pacífica de conflitos polo que decidimos constituírnos en Asociación (o IMER) como unha ferramenta para poder chegar non só á comunidade educative senón á público en xeral.
